The Live Wildfire Ready brand had to be consistently multifaceted. It had to speak to ordinary citizens and industry professionals alike, had to represent any landscape from the plains to the white-peaked mountains, and balance intense information with approachability. We created a brand system based around a suite of mix-and-match illustrations and textures that can be utilized to create informational diagrams and landscapes representative of any part of Colorado, and iconography that aligns to the campaign.
Because this campaign is for the benefit of the entire State of Colorado, the guidelines document serves as the hero of this entire campaign. It outlines how to talk about and depict wildfires without terrifying the audience, as well as how to utilize and build from our design system and illustrations.
